Went in the other for coolant leak .service, price, and customer service was excellent .will refer friends and family.

Staff were very helpful and gave me useful information about other parts of the car at no additional cost.

I went in to get some welding work done on my exhaust system. Estimated cost was very reasonable and it was also the final cost. The work was done while I waited and only took up half an hour.

I went to Lentz for squeaking brakes that had not been inspected yet. The technician inspected my vehicle and brought me out to show me what was wrong. I was told that the front right rotor was cracked and needed replacing (which was quite obvious). I was then told that the outer edge of the rotor was red, indicating that the caliper was malfunctioning and was causing the front right brake to be constantly engaged. He said that that in turn caused my right rear brake to overwork, which was the cause of the squeaking. When all was said and done, I was told that to safely repair all of the damage, I would at the very least need to replace the entire brake system of the front axle, both right and left (rotor, brake pads, caliper and brake hose). The cost would be $900. That wouldn't even address the issue of the back brakes that were squeaking, so they would continue to squeak until I could afford a repair on them at a later time. To cut down on the costs, he said I could probably go without the brake hoses for a bit and see if the brakes worked okay with the old ones. That would bring the cost down to $700. When I balked at the price and said I would like to get a second opinion and second price, he magically was able to bring the cost down to $550, but couldn't get the parts until the next day. I said I would like to check to see if a place could get them same day, and he said "Well, I don't want to lose you to a competitor, so, tell you what, if you let me know by noon, I can get them in by three." So my original estimate of $700 with next day repair was brought down to $550 and same day repair only because I complained that the price and timeline seemed unreasonable. I was very apprehensive, so went to Midas for a second opinion. I ended up at Midas getting new front rotors, new front brake pads, and machining of the back rotors with resurfacing of the back brake pads for a total of $380. The brakes were completely repaired, and the front calipers were fine. The technician said that the front caliper went on a little hard, so he will recheck it in a month at no cost, but there was nothing to lead him to believe they were malfunctioning. I felt very frustrated with Lentz, and honestly believe that they would have taken me for all the money I was willing to shell out for problems that didn't exist.

I will be recommending them to others.
