I purchased a recliner at this store and it was such a disappointment. My chair was a custom order only because I chose a different fabric. I loved it but when I picked it up I was shocked at how hard the seat cushion was. Also, it is impossible to recline the chair It's so tight and stiff that I can't use it. I asked to exchange it and the manager flatly said NO. I will never buy anything at this store again. It's obvious that sales are far more important than customer satisfaction.
Don't waste your hard earned money here. One year and product faulted and warranty wouldn't cover. 30 year customer to never give Lazy Boy another dime.
Service is significantly lacking. We spent quite a bit of money on new furniture and paid extra for fabric protection as we have young children (which was a bait and switch sales technique to begin with). Then we needed to call on the fabric service sold to us and it has been a MONTH with nothing scheduled. You cannot get ahold of anyone when you call (Lazy Boy is busy 1/2 of the time and the service company is oversold and over booked). I was referred to Lazy Boy and many of my friends have a great experience from the service they purchased 5+ years ago. Apparently, they are using a new company that is slow to respond and impossible to get a hold of. I am sad to hear of another company who has devalued service but sells at a price which does not reflect this.
Nancy the sales lady was great and very helpful, however the store manager and customer service was horrible. We had to ask for a receipt, they were not going to provide one otherwise, they had a single employee without back support load it into our car. We asked for a box and they would not provide one. There was an overall unwillingness to provide any level of customer service.
The sales ladies were wonderful. I didn't feel harassed like I was buying a car or something. The selection was great, and picking your fabrics is fun! Great sales, and the clearance area was cool, too
edit to my initial review - while Ultrashield (company who handles the fabric protection) has had problems we were contacted by Lazy Boy who was extremely helpful in making sure that our service exceeded our expectations. Will update if something changes but they have been very helpful to our needs and admitted they were also having problems with Ultrashield. The owners at the Kalamazoo Lazy Boy even called and were very helpful.
