Went here for soccer shoes for my 12 year old daughter. Plenty to choose from they keep the place well stocked. With as fast as kids grow there is no better place to look for good clothing and sports shoes.
I like OUAC but do not recommend this location. My wife and I had shopped here quite a bit and decided to give selling a try. Here is how that went. Since we don't live in Portage, we wondered if we could possibly pick up 2 days later, when we'd be back in town. The employee said that we could, but that the store is "not reliable [sic] for items left here." We were fine with that. But when I mentioned that we might find a way to come back the next day, we were impatiently told that we must be there when the store opened in the morning. Puzzled, we took our items back home.
I took clothes to sell and had a terrible experience. I walked in the door and stood waiting to be acknowledged for several minutes while there were 3 employees standing at the counter. Finally one asked if I needed help in a very annoyed tone. I was told I would get a text when they were ready and got nothing. I went to the counter and had to wait again without anyone saying a word to me. They offered me a pathetic amount of money for all of the items. I won't sell to them again. I'm not I want to shop there either.
Great place to sell back a few things and get stuff at great prices. All my kids' clothes come from here.
I came back on a later date, having rearranged my schedule to ensure that I could do a same-day pickup. (The idea of the customer striving to accommodate the business seemed a bit backwards, but I let that pass.) When I returned for my quote, I was told that our entire dropoff was "a void" and given a list of various reasons. So apparently, of the 110+ items we carefully selected and prepared, EVERY SINGLE ONE had something distinctly wrong with it. (Again, the employee gave me a long list of reasons, so it's not as if the whole load was automatically rejected due to one factor such as odors). But what made me even more flabbergasted was that the employee didn't even offer any kind words when breaking this news to me (such as "Thank you anyway," "We appreciate you coming in," or even a simple "I'm sorry" for having so much of our time completely wasted). No, she simply said "So these are yours, sir" and walked away.
Typical Midwest clientele. Mom is yelling at her kids. Not cause they did anything wrong but because secretly she wishes she married hot Zack from college and not Carl from that benefit dinner. She thinks to herself "I bet Zack's kids don't need a math tutor. God that's expensive."
Honestly, how could we possibly be expected to continue shopping there after an experience like that?
I dont reccomend once upon a child. The clothes, coats, boots etc that I looked at where overpriced especially for the condition they where in.
