Nice park for kids over the age of 5. No playground equipment for kids under the age of 5 . It's a mecca for Pokemon players and even has solar charging stations for your electronic devices.
If you like walking or running or biking or skating then this is a great spot. it's well hidden from the city and I see animals everyday from deers to rabbits to squirrels to birds.
The trail takes you along the railroad track and portage creek. It's one of my favorite spots in town to exercise and relax.
There's an air pump at the bathrooms for your bike! Trail is a bit short but really perfect for 8-12 year olds for a free ride. Nice little playground, canoe livery, and if all else fails.. Go wading in the creek.
It is a beautiful trail park for everyone. I love the gardens and scenery.
There are multiple benches where you can sit and relax or enjoy reading a book. Some people do fishing at one point of the trail. It's about 3.5 miles distance so back and forth is a good 7 miles workout.
The trail is paved and very well kept. It can get a little congested with people at times, but it's great for a quick, easy bike ride.
